Theresa Marie Lewis, 75, of Great Bend, died Oct. 22 at Pratt Regional Living Center in Pratt.

She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Liebenthal, the daughter of Andrew and Josephine Depperschmidt Herrman.

She married W. E. “Dub” Lewis Jr. June 27, 1947, at Great Bend. He died Jan. 17, 1979.

A resident of Pratt since January 2003, coming from Great Bend and La Crosse, she was a housewife. Mrs. Lewis was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church of Great Bend.

Survivors include two sons, Leon E. Lewis and Ronnie R. Lewis, both of Wichita; two daughters, Betty Baird of Pratt and Dorothy Niedens of Hoisington; two brothers, Gilbert Herrman and Elmer Herrman, both of Liebenthal; four sisters, Cleophia Leiker and Virginia Andrasek, both of Great Bend, Mary Leiker of Munjor and Dorothy Davenport of La Crosse; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Rex “Buddy” Lewis; one sister, Irene Schmidt; and two great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home of Great Bend. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ted Stoecklein officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 9 tonight and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, all at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to South Wind Hospice in Pratt or American Diabetes Association, both in care of the funeral home.
