Dorothy R. Davenport, 81, Liebenthal, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse.

She was born May 5, 1935, in Liebenthal to Andrew Alex and Josephine (Depperschmidt) Herrman.

She married James Davenport on April 26, 1956, in Liebenthal. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1973.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society, both of Liebenthal.

Survivors include a brother, Elmer Herrman, Sr., Liebenthal; a sister, Mary Leiker, Munjor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gilbert Clarence Herrman; and four sisters, Virginia Andrasek, Cleopha Leiker, Irene Schmitt, and Theresa Lewis.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Liebenthal; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Liebenthal. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse and from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Ann’s Altar Society, Liebenthal in care of the funeral home.
