Final Rites Sunday For Mrs. Nora Lenox
Services were held at the First Christian church Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Nora Lenox, well known Carnegie resident, who passed away late Friday night after a long illness.
Rev. T.T. Brown, pastor, was in charge of the services and burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery under auspices of the Rebekah lodge of which order she had long been a member.
Born in Grayson county, Texas June 10, 1881, Nora Blundell was the youngest of twelve children. She came to Carnegie in 1909 and was married to J.F. Lenox in August, 1911. Mr. Lenox died in 1933.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. N.R. Beach and Mrs. G.B. Bristow of Van Horn, Texas and Mrs. Hattie Phillips of this place and a niece, Miss Marie Blundell who has made her home with Mrs. Lenox for some twenty years and who assumed a great deal of the responsibility of caring for her in her long illness. There are also many other nephews and nieces and a host of acquaintances. Mrs. Lenox became a member of the Christian church in Collinsville, Texas and lived a consistent Christian life for more than forty years.
