Shuster Rites Are Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Belle Shuster, 93, long-time Carnegie resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at the local First Baptist church. Rev. Les McNair, pastor, officiated.
Mrs. Shuster died Saturday in the Carnegie hospital following a lengthy illness. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery under the direction of Pitcher Funeral Home.
Born October 16, 1880 in Cook county, Texas, Mrs. Shuster had been a resident in the Carnegie area since 1919. She was married to John M. Shuster, a Spanish-American War veteran May 24, 1904 at Van Horn, Texas. He died in 1924. She was a member of the local Baptist church.
Survivors include one son, L.A. Shuster of Carnegie; two daughters, Charlotte Jarnigan, Carnegie, and Blanche Price of Shedd, Oregon; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
