Charles S. Bair, Sr.

Charles S. Bair, Sr., 84 Route 3, Iola, died early this morning at the Allen County Hospital where he had been a patient since August 24. Mr Bair had been ill for three weeks.

He was born April 23,1886, at Gas City, Kansas.

He was a retired farmer.
Mr Bair was married to Miss Lula Cooper July 2,1908 at Iola. After their marriage they lived in Chetopa and Oklahoma before moving back to
iola to make their home.

Mrs Bair died April 5,1937. Survivors include one son Charles Bair Jr.
Dolores, Colorado; six daughters, Mrs Ted (Frances) Perkins, Humboldt, Mrs Fred (Mabel)Wemmer , Watsonville, California, Mrs Lowell (Pauline) Swinney, Salina, Mrs Lester (Maxine)
Garver, Route 3, Iola, Kansas, Mrs Altie (Lula Belle) Smith, Iola, Mrs Ralph (Betty) Madill, Junction City. 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Friskel- Kinser Chapel. The Rev. W. J. Deckinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
