Francis E."Franny" Perkins passed away Friday, March 28,2003 at Hillside Manor of natural causes. She was 90 years old.
She was born in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Charles S. and Lula Cooper Bair. She grew up in Humboldt and Iola Kansas area where she met Theodore "Ted" Perkins. They were united in marriage on June 3, 1932 in Iola.
She worked at Kent's Department Store, Harold's Furniture Store and Irene's Clothing Store. She was a member of the Rebekahs and first Christian Church in Humboldt, where she was baptized on April 6, 1947.
In 1981, she and Ted moved to Missoula to be with family. In 1988 they transferred their membership to the King's Christian Church in Iola.
Franny's hobbies included fishing, camping, gardening and sewing.She enjoyed playing cards, board games and visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters,Mabel, Pauline,and Maxine and her husband of 69 years, Ted Perkins.
Franny is survived by her son Melvin of Arizona City, Arizona,
three grand daughters, Connie Howard of Bozeman, Kay Brady of
Missoula, Elizabeth Knudson of Spokane and Nicole Howell of Bozeman.
Also surviving are one brother Charles J Bair of Dolores, Colorado, and two sisters Lula Bell Smith of Iola, Kansas and Betty Madill of Witchita, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m.Tuesday with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the funeral Home's Community room following the services.
Pall Bearers will be Ted Brady, Vickie Knudson, John Knudson
T.J. Brady, Katie Brady and Elizabeth Knudson. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the special people and friends at Hillside Manor.
