Funeral services for Levi F. May of West Monroe, who died Sunday, were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. H. J. Mott, pastor in charger, assisted by Rev. F__ Seals, pastor of the Olla Baptist Church.
The deceased, a former resident of Caldwell parish, was an uncle to D. M. May, school board member of ward 9, and J. C. May, of near Grayson. He was 94 years of age, and spent many of those years in Caldwell parish in the ward 9 community, the old May place, being near the Jackson Parish line.
Among the survivors are his wife, Ms. L. F. May of West Monroe; four sons: Harvey May, Lee May, Fred May, Seth May, all of West Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Moore of Transylvania, Mrs Linnie Woolie of Monroe, Mrs. Katie Goutroux of Gonzales, and Mrs. Audie Sisk of West Monroe; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were H.G. Houdon, W.L. Anders, W.E. Fordham, J.M. Griggs, L.I. Hatten, and W.L. McLin.
