Katie married Albert Joseph GAUTREAUX on 05 Nov 1938 in Lincoln Parish LA. They had two children: Catherine Louise & Albert Joseph Jr. "Bro" GAUTREAUX.

OBITUARY: The Advocate, Baton Rouge LA, 15 Sep 1992
Died Monday, Sept. 14, 1992, at 4:15 a.m. in Baton Rouge. She was 76, a native of Columbia and a resident of Gonzales. She was a retired National Food Store employee. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Father Ramon Vegas. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery.
Survived by husband, Albert J. "T.J." Gautreaux; a daughter, Mrs. John L. (Catherine) Venable; and a son, Albert "Bro" Gautreaux, all of Gonzales; a sister, Audie M. Sisk, Bastrop; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Levi and Lula Lee McFarren May; two sisters, Fannie Moore and Lonnie Wooley; and five brothers, Harvey, Lee, Fred, Seth and Joe May. Pallbearers will be Todd, Micah, Jay and Vance Venable, Joey and Spencer Gautreaux.
She was a member of the VFW and American Legion auxiliaries and East Ascension Sportsman's League.
