Anna Barbara Diedrick was the daughter of George Diedrick and Margarethe Popp. She was born in Poppenlauer Unterfranken, Bayern, Germany. About 1851 at the age of 2, her parents and others in her family emigrated to the United States, and settled in the town of Forest, Fond Du Lac County, Wisconsin, where she grew up.

Barbara married Jacob Sieber, in Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin on October 30, 1868. Jacob Sieber had emigrated to the Sheboygan area with his family from Buren Zum Hof, Berne, Switzerland about 1855 with his family at the age of 9.

The couple first lived in Sheboygan, they had seven children during that period. About 1878 the family moved to Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin. Two of Anna's sisters, Elizabeth Louise Spann and Mary A Jones, and their families also moved to Colby. Elizabeth died in 1879, and Mary A returned to the Sheboygan area later.

In Colby, the couple had three additional children for a total of ten. Her husband Jacob died in 1891 while visiting his brother in Butte Montana. Anna died in Colby in 1896. After she died, some of her children went to live with her brother Frederick in Greenbush, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. Many of the children died of tuberculosis. By 1915 only three of her children were living.

Jacob Sieber immigrated in 1855 at 9 years of age to the United States from Germany with his mother Anna Maria Kaderli, his step father Niklaus Sieber (his father Jackob, brother of Niklaus, had died in 1847), his sibling Johann(9) and his half siblings Rudolph(6) and Anna Maria(2). A new half sister Lucy was born in New York in 1855 on their way. The family first settled in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. Johann died in 1863. Anna Maria married Henry Matthias in 1871 and lived in Sheboygan and later moved to Liberty, Manitowoc County. Rudolph moved to Michigan by 1870, and later to Montana and San Diego, California. What happened to Lucy is not known. Jacob served in the Civil War. After the war he married Anna Barbara Diedrick in 1868. The couple lived in Sheboygan until 1878, during which time they had seven children. In 1878 they moved to Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin. There the couple had three more children, but three of their children also died during the period. About 1891, Jacob went to visit his brother Rudolph who was living in Silver Bow, Montana. This is where he died.
