Jacob Henry Sieber was the son of Jacob Sieber 1846 and Anna Barbara Diedrich.

He moved with his parents family from Sheboygan County where he was born, to Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin in 1778. He married Auralie E Greenwood on January 15, 1902.

The couple lived in Washburn County in Wisconsin. They had six children.

Children:

Leona Barbara 1902, married John Daniel Guildner, one child, lived in Glendale, California, married 2nd Winifred Hartkopf, lived in Los Angeles, California, and in La Pine, Oregon, probably died in Jackson County or Medford, Oregon.

Clarence Ernest 1905, married Dorcas in Milwaukee, she died in 1933, later Clarence resided in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, possibly buried Sioux City, Iowa.

Alma Viola 1903, married Paul Strang, lived in Duluth, Minnesota, later around Kansas City, Kansas, 4 children, died in Osceola, Missouri.

Gladys Marie 1907, lived in Duluth, Minnesota.

Audrey Verna 1910, married Arlo Wayne Benson, lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Served as Sergeant in the US Army.

Ervin Frederick, 1912, married Dorothy Frances Bradstreet, lived in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana, two children.

Sieber, Jacob H. (15 OCT 1873 - 12 APR 1912)

Jacob H. Sieber, for many years a resident of the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., died at his home in Minong, Washburn Co., Wis., on Saturday, April 12th, 1913, of tuberculosis, aged 39 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Jacob H. Sieber was born in Sheboygan Co., Oct. 15th, 1873, and came to Colby with his parents in 1880, and continued to reside here until his marriage to Miss Auralie Greenwood, on Jan. 15th, 1902, when he removed
to Minong, where he had previously taken up a homestead. He was a hardworking young man and highly respected by all of his neighbors and friends here, and in his late home. He leaves his widow and six children, Leona, Alma, Clarence, Gladys, Audrey and Ervin to mourn the death of a kind and loving husband and father. He is also mourned by two
brothers, Ernst and Julius of Antigo, two sisters, Miss Minnie, and Mrs. Jerry Stauss, and his uncle, Fred Diedrick, all of Sheboygan Co., all of whom, including Mr. Stauss, were here to attend the funeral.

The remains were brought to this city, Tuesday morning, and the funeral held Wednesday afternoon, from the M.E. Church, under the auspices of the Modern Woodmen, of which order he was an honored member. Interment took place in Colby Cemetery.

Married, at the M. E. Church, on Wednesday, Jan 15th, 1902, by Rev. E.G. Vischer, Mr. Jake Sieber of the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., and Miss Aurelia Greenwood of the town of Hull.

Jake Sieber is one of the straight, upright young men of this community and the bride one of the nicest young ladies. They are both to be congratulated on their choice. The happy couple were attended by Walter Greenwood and Miss Rosalynde Ryer. Jake has been employed at Radcliff, Bayfield Co., Wis., for some time, and there he and his bride will make their home. They have the best wishes of the phonograph of a large circle of friends.
