Fred J. Gulley
Fred J. Gulley, Visalia, a former Tularean who operated a cab company in Tulare for 371/2 years, died Friday at a local ospital. He was 85.
Born in Gate City, Va., Gulley came to Tulare as a young child and attended school here. He returned after a stint with the U.S Army. during World War I and was a county fireman for six years before operating the 510 Cab Company.
After selling the Company he became a deputy marshal with the Tulare County Sherriff's office. He ws a member of ethe Visalia branches of the Veteran's of Foriegn Wars and the American Legion. also associated with the Visalia Senior Citizens.
Gulley is survived by several cousins and one aunt. Services will be held at 2 PM at the Tulare District Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Hadley's Funeral Chapel, Visalia.
