Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Margaret Gaines, 90, were held in the Lyon Funeral Home, February 25th with burial in Brookside. She was born October 8, 1877 in Taylor County, the daughter of Joel and Sarah M. Lee, and died February 23rd at her home on Rt. 5. She was the widow of Arthur P. Gaines who died in 1951. The Revs. Carvel Scott, Bobby Carson, and Landon Hadley officiated at the services. Mrs. Gaines was a member of the Millers Chapel Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Lee Gaines and Richard Gaines, both of Route 5, and one step-son, Frank, also of Route 5. She also leaves her sister, Mrs. Lewis Lancaster of Rt. 5 and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy, Bobby, David, Donald, James and John Gaines.
