The deceased professed faith in Christ in early life and united with the Methodist Church at Souls Chapel, of which she remained a faithful and consistent member until her death. She had faithfully filled all of the duties in every station in life; was a devoted Christian woman, a faithful, kind, and loving wife and mother, and a loyal and helpful neighbor and friend, and had surrounded herself with a large number of loving friends in the community in which she had spent her long and useful life, and was beloved by all who knew her. Funeral services were held from this home Sunday afternoon at 3:30, conducted by interment in the family cemetery (News Journal, Aug 18, 1932).
