George Henry Lee, 71, died Friday, June 22, at his home on 118 Walnut St. Funeral services were held Monday, June 25, at 2:00 p.m. from the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kavanaugh A. Loy in charge. The pallbearers were Frank Dudgeon, Harold Lee, Alfred Price, Lee Gaines, Richard Gaines and Frank Gaines. Mr. Lee, son of the late William Joseph Lee (Joel T. Lee) and Sarah Howard Lee was born September 1, 1884 in Taylor County. He was a member of the Souls Chapel Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Harmon. They were married on February 10, 1926. To this union one daughter was born. Survivors include his wife, Daisy Harmon Lee, and daughter, Mrs. Wallace Franklin of Buechel, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Gaines, Mrs. Louis Lancaster and one brother, Mr. Thomas Lee, all of Route 5.
