(Although her headstone gives her year of birth as 1895, the 1900 census--when she was 16--indicates her birth was more likely in 1884. And she definitely couldn't have been born in 1895 because her mother had passed away in Apr 1894, and there were three other children younger than Lulu who were born of that same mother).

(As can be seen on her death certificate, someone tried even further to lessen her age--changing the purported birth year from 1895 to 1897, and changing her purported age from 42 to 40. As shown by census records, she was actually 53 upon her death).
