WRECK CLAIMS SECOND VICTIM

DANVILLE, Ky., July 11 (Special) -- Odie C. Kidd, 67, Junction City, died at 8 o'clock tonight in Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

His wife, Mrs. Georgia Ann Kidd, 57, died late Monday at the hospital of injuries received in the same accident.

The wreck occurred at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on the Knob Lick Road about one mile from U.S. 127, the Hustonville Road, in Lincoln County.

Sheriff Charles Anderson said Mrs. Kidd told him right after the accident that she either fainted or fell asleep at the wheel. The car struck a tree.

A native of Lincoln County, Kidd was a farmer. He and his wife were members of the Stanford Church of Christ.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harold Baugh, Mitchellsburg; Mrs. Flossie Hale, Springdale, Ohio, and Mrs. Linna Bishop, Mt. Clemens, Mich.; three sons, Taylor Kidd, Belleville, Mich; Maurice C. Kidd, Arlington, Ind., and Leonard S. Kidd, San Diego, Calif.; five brothers, Link, J. L. and Ollie Kidd, Stanford; Roy Kidd, Crab Orchard, and William Kidd, Covington, and 23 grandchildren.

Funeral services for the couple will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home here by Evangelist Charles F. Brown. Burial will be in the Junction City Cemetery. The bodies are at the funeral home.
