EUGENE G. BROWN
Eugene G. Brown, 57, died at the home of his niece Philomena C. of 481 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, died at his home Wednesday morning on December 5, 1979, following an illness.
Mr. Brown was born in Wilkes-Barre and resided in Kingston and Florida prior to returning to the city 18 months ago.
He was formerly employed by International Color of Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Brown was an Army Veteran of World War II U.S. Army
World War II Ser. Btry. 947th F.A. Bn.
and was a member of VFW, Post 283, Kingston: Knights of Columbus Assumpta Council 3987 Kingston; St. Hedwig's Church, Kingston.
His first wife the former Ruth Landmesser, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. died Feb. 29, 1956.
A brother Frank Brown, Bloomfield, N.J., died Sept. 3rd.
Surviving are second wife, the former Rose Krzynowski; children of Ruth; Eugene (Bud) Brown and Neil Brown, both of Wilkes-Barre; Children of Rose; Gerald Brown and Mrs. Joyce Purtle, both of Lakewood, Fla.; Richard Brown, Trucksville; two grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Conwell, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Dorothy Glofka, Wilkes-Barre Township; brother, James and Paul, Irvington, N.J.; Joseph, Wall, N.J.; Martin, Newark; Thomas, Dallas; Leonard, Bellvilee, N.J.
Funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Avenue, Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 from St. Hedwig's Church.
Interment in St. Ignatius Church, Pringle.
Friends may call Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Rosary will be recited by Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus.
