Born in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre on Jan. 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Moran) Brown and had attended local schools.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Glofka, in 1970; by her son-in-law, Henry Mago, in 1998; and by numerous siblings - 11 brothers - Frank,James,Emmett,Leo, Joseph, Martin Jr., Paul, Thomas, Robert, Leonard, Eugene and 2 sisters - Gertrude Brown Cassidy Conwell, and Mary Brown, plus 3 more siblings, she was the last living child of Martin and Annie 17 children.
Surviving are her daughter, Maureen Mago, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Stephen Kofchak, Wilkes-Barre, Joseph Kofchak, Wilkes-Barre; Cheryl Kofchak Remakus, Wilkes-Barre; Linda Kofchak Zarola, Wilkes-Barre; Henry Mago, Mountain Top; Allan Mago, Wilkes-Barre Township; and Julie Mago, WIlkes-Barre; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Philomena Conrad, WIlkes-Barre; Helen Yakobitis, West Pittston; nephew, Joe Cassidy Wilkes-Barre; Dolores Cassidy, N.J., numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from Bednarski and Thomas Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., WIlkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary's Church o the Immaculate Conception, South Washington Street, WIlkes-Barre, Monsignor Thomas Banick will Officiate.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Friends may cal form 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
