Emmett Brown 59, a guest at the Lackawanna Convalescent Home, Ransom, died yesterday afternoon at the home after, a lengthy illness.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Brown. Mr. Brown formerly resided at 204 North Washington Street, City. He was a collector for People's Outfitting Company. , WIlkes-Barre, 20 years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church South Washington Street, and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are a son William of Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Yakobitis, West Pittston: six grandchildren. A son, Raymond was killed in an automobile accident in 1944. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Frank, Jame, Martin, Paul and Leonard. all of Newark, N.J.: Joseph, Irvington, N.J.: Thomas of Dallas; Eugene of Kingston: Mrs. Gertrude Conwell, Wilkes-Barre: Mrs. Dorothy Glofka, WIlkes-Barre Township.
Funeral will be held from the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street. Friends may call tonight, 7 to 9 and thereafter, 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
