Mrs.Anna Brown, RD 4, Dallas died Wednesday night at 11:30 in General Hospital following a brief illness. She leaves 61 direct descendants.
A native of Lattimer, Pa., Mrs. Brown was a daugther of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Moran.
Married on 11-22-1897 at the age of 17. She was a widow of Martin Brown, who died January 29, 1955.
Mrs. Brown lived in the North End section of Wilkes-Barre most of her life and was a member of St. Mary's Church, South Washington Street, and its women's societies.
Surviving are these children, Frank , Leonard, James , Martin and Paul Brown, all of Newark, N.J.; Joseph of Irvington, N.J.; Emmet of WIlkes-Barre; Thomas of Dallas; Mrs. John Glofka, Wilkes-Barre Township; Mrs. Gertrude Conwell, WIlkes-Barre; Eugene of Kingston; a sister Mrs. Con Brislin, WIlkes-Barre;, 31 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 from the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, with a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Church.
Interment in parish cemetery, Hanover Township.
