James F. Alt, 83, of Pansy, died Thursday at his residence.
He was born October 7, 1886 at Pansy, a son of the late William and Martha (Hedrick) Alt. He was a retired farmer.
His survivors are his widow, Stella E. (Alt) Alt; four daughters, Mrs Myrtle Berg, Maysville; Mrs. Vada Evick, Franklin; Mrs. Audrey Blosser and Mrs. Martha Evans, both of Richmond, Va.; six sons, Kermit and Junior Alt, both of Baltimore, Md.; Bill, Charles, Paul and Roger Alt, all of Petersburg; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Sevices were conducted at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Reverend Lowell R. Rogers. Burial was in the Alt Family Cemetery.
