Henry A. Bergman of Maria Stein Dead
Henry A. Bergman, 86, lifelong resident of the Maria Stein community, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital at Coldwater. He was a retired farmer and had never married.
Mr. Bergman was born March 10, 1875, the son of Stephen and Manna Evers Bergman. He was a member of the St. John Church at Maria Stein and the Holy Name Society of the church.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rose Meiring of St. Marys, and five brothers, Frank, George, Joseph, and Lawrence, all of Maria Stein, and August H, of Osgood.
Requiem High Mass will be sung in St. John Church by the Reverend George Kraft at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoegenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry after 7 p.m. Thursday.
