ST MARYS - Funeral Mass for Mrs. Rosa P. Meiering, 82, will be offered 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church by Rev. Anselm Boeke. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Mrs. Meiering died 5:40 a.m. Thursday in Joint Township Hospital where she had been a patient since July 22.
Born April 25, 1889, at Maria Stein, she was the daughter of Stephen and Anna Evers Bergman. She was married May 22, 1912, to William Meiering. He died in 1958.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Romilda) Valek, Helen Meiering and Mrs. Paul (Bernadette) Strick, all of Dayton; three sons, Harry, Elmer and Paul, all of this city; two brothers, August Bergman of Osgood and George Bergman of Maria Stein; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Meiering was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Yoder, Long and Folk Funeral Home where the ladies of the parish will recite Rosary 8:15 p.m.
