HAVEN "JAKE" STARK dies in International Falls.
Former Kasson resident passes away Jan 4, 1953 in International Falls. He had been ill with lung cancer for some time.

Haven was born July 26, 1892 in Kasson, Dodge County, Minnesota to Jacob and Sarah Maxson Stark. He married Cora Stevens of Mantorville on June 12, 1912. The couple lived in Dodge County for a time and then homesteaded in Plevna, Montana for several years. Later he worked on the railroad in Montana and North Dakota. He worked as a carpenter in Staples, Minnesota.

Haven is survived by his wife, a son Morris, his wife Jessie and granddaughter, Kathryn of International Falls. He was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda. Burial is in Staples, Minnesota beside his daughter.
