LAWRENCE D. STARK, 83 of 1209 11th St. NW, Austin, Minnesota, a native of Kasson, died Monday afternoon December 19th, 1988 at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin of cancer.

He was born in Mantorville July 11, 1905 and was raised on a farm North of Mantorville.

He married Mabel Wernecke in 1924 and the couple lived in Kasson for 20 years and in Rochester for 17 years before moving to Austin for the remainder of his life. He worked as a projectionist at local theaters in Rochester and Austin.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Mabel; two sons, Douglas of Naples, Florida and Jerald of Austin; and a daughter Donna (Willard) Scripture of Rochester. A daughter, Pauline Spratte preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with Rev. S. Mark Garrison officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota. The family prefers memorial to the American Cancer Society.
