Francis L. Shrader, 78, of 17812 Oak Ave., Fannettsburg, died Sunday, April 7, at Hanover Hospital.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred E. (Rohrbaugh) Shrader, who died Jan. 10, 1994.
Born June 7, 1917, in New Oxford, he was the son of the olate Charles A. and Corraine (Carbaugh) Shrader.
He was a member of Church of St. Mary, Our Lady of Refuge, Doylesburg.
He was a life member of American Legion #14, Hanover. a member of Fort Loudon American Legion #606, a member of AARP, a life member of Path Valley Stag Club, a 50 year member of AmVets Post #22, Hanover, a member of NRA and a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local #5.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Surviving are one son, Francis L. Shrader II of New Oxford; one daughter, Sally A. Cornbower of Hanover; one granddaughter; five sisters, Emma Livingstown, Marie Leister and Lillian Miller, all of New Oxford, Corraine Smith of Irishtown and Dorothy Kress of Littlestown; four brothers, Robert, Earl, Edward and Joseph Shrader, all of New Oxford.
A mass of Christian Burial will e held 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford with Msg. Francis J. Hudak and the Rev. John Campion as celebrants. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
