Charles E. Shrader,67, of New Oxford, died at the Hanover Hospital Sunday evening.
He was born in Adams County, son of Corrine B. Carbaugh Shrader of New Oxford and the late Charles A. Shrader.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, New Oxford and the New Oxford Social and Athletic Club.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Ruth M. Hippensteel Shrader; five children, Gloria J. Bare, at home, Wayne E. Shrader of Gettysburg, Donald A. Shrader of Hanover, Bradley A Shrader of New Oxford and Phillip L. Shrader, at home; five grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. John Livingstown of New Oxford, William A. Shrader of New Oxford, Francis L. Shrader of Fannettsville, Mrs. Edgar Leister of New Oxford, Mrs. Robert Miller of New Oxford, Mrs. Ralph Smith of New Oxford, Robert J. Shrader of New Oxford, James E. shrader of Harrisburg, Earl R. Shrader of New Oxford, Mrs. John Kress of Hanover, George J. Shrader of New Oxford, Joseph T. Shrader of New Oxford.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home in New Oxford at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, New Oxford, with the Mosignor Lawrence Overbaugh officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Oxford.
