Born on January 29, 1938, to the late Johnathon and Virgilla Gardner Arnold, Don was a 1956 graduate of Howard High School. He was employed by the Ohio Cumberland Gas, Hunts Drilling co., PP Glass Co., Continental Can, Ludlow, and American National Can; in addition to farming for 30 years for his Dad.
He was survived by his wife; Marilyn (Colopy) Arnold, Children; Daniel Arnold of Mount Vernon, Debra (Criss) Stienmetz of Howard, Joseph Arnold of Mount Vernon, Linda Oliver of Howard and Karen Laughrey of Mount Vernon, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brothers Arthur (Mary G.) Arnold and Bernard Arnold of Mount Vernon, Charles (Catherine) Arnold of Powell, and James (Diane) Arnold of Mount Vernon, sisters; Ruth Ann Hartman of Rochester, NY, Lucille Meyer of Mount Vernon, and Mary Koss of Stevensville, MI.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Dwight "Curly" and Edward Arnold, a brother in law; Walter Koss and nephews Bill and Johnathan "john" Arnold.
Burial took place in St. Luke's Cemetery, Danville Ohio. Richard Snoke was Celebrant.
