DANVILLE - Dwight L. "Curley" Arnold, 52, of 23619 Cornish Road, Howard, died early April 25, 1986, at Grant Medical Center extended care unit in Columbus. He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Knox County, the son of Johnathan and Virgilia (Gardner) Arnold.

He was well known as a breeder and racer of standard bred race horses in Ohio and surrounding states, including the Coshocton County Fair.

He was a 23-year member of the Knox County fair board where he was on the speed committee and was the first recipient of a lifetime membership in the Knox County Agricultural Society. He was a member of the Knox County Horesemen Association, the United State Trotting Association, and St. Luke's Catholic Church of Danville, where he also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge 910.

He is survived by six brothers, Edward and James of Danville, Arthur, Bernard and Donald of Mount Vernon and Charles of Marion; three sisters, Ruth Hartman of Rochester, New York, Lucille Meyer of Mount Vernon and Margaret Kass of Stevensville, Mich.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Catholic Church of Danville with burial in St. Luke Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fisher Danville Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday where Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m.
