ANNA M. BURKET

Mrs. Burket, 95, of King, formerly of East Freedom, died unexpectedly at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 1992, at the home of her daughter, following an extended illness. She was born May 28, 1896, in Dry Run, the daughter of Lloyd and Emma (Butler) Shaw. She married Emory Watson Burket June 22, 1922, in Leamersville. He died May 9, 1955. Surviving is a daughter Kathleen M. of Imler RD, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burket was a member of the East Freedom United Methodist Church and was active for many years in the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg.

BURKET -- Services for Anna M. Burket of King, formerly of East Freedom will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg, by the Rev. Maryanne Keagle. Interment at Riverview Cemetery, Leamersville. Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Claysburg Library or your favorite charity. She was preceded in death by two sons: Howard W. and Lloyd Burket.
