HARRY B. SHAW

Of Newry, died at 5.40 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 14, 1969, in Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted last Wednesday, after a brief illness. He was born at Puzzletown on March 22, 1887, a son of Lloyd and Emma (Butler) Shaw, and was twice married, first to Pearl E. Smith, who died Feb. 17, 1930, then to Mary Hoover, who died Feb. 16, 1968. Surviving are six children, Emory H., Mrs. Thelma Shaw, Mrs. Rhelda Gill and Eldon of Duncansville, Mrs. Ruth Shaw of Newry and Mrs. Mae Yardis of Pittsburgh; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Mrs. Jennie Boyer of McKee, Mrs. Anna Burket and Elmer of East Freedom, Mrs. Lillian Kunsman of Hollidaysburg and John of Duncansville. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Newry Lutheran Church. He was a retired car builder of the PRR. Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

SHAW -- Services for Harry B. Shaw of Newry will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, by the Rev. Philip Ziegler. Interment in the Newry Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
