MRS. EMMA JANE (BUTLER) SHAW

Widow of Lloyd A. Shaw, died at her home at McKee yesterday afternoon at 2.10 o'clock, death following an illness of seven weeks attributed to a complication of ailments.
Mrs. Shaw was a daughter of Samuel and Rachel Butler and was born in Dry Gap on July 19, 1861. She was united in marriage with Lloyd A. Shaw in December, 1881. Mr. Shaw and a son, James Shaw, met a tragic death on a railroad crossing in Duncansville on April 22, 1929. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Lillie Kunsman of Gallitzin, John P. Shaw of Duncansville, Harry B. Shaw of Newry, Mrs. Annie Burket of East Freedom, Mrs. Jennie Boyer, Elmer L. Shaw and James W. Shaw, all of McKee; one brother, Oliver Butler of East Sharpsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. James Snyder and Mrs. Elizabeth Pollard of Roaring Spring; forty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Pine Grove United Brethren church at Puzzletown for the past thirty-five years.
