MRS. ALICE SMITH
Of 740 Sandusky St., Gallitzin, died at 3:55 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital where she was admitted Wednesday. She was born March 19, 1882, at Dry Gap, a daughter of Lloyd and Emma (Butler) Shaw, and married George W. Smith, who preceded her in death. Surviving are five children, Francis J. of Blue Knob, Alvin L. of Gallitzin, Paul A. of Duncansville, Mrs. Gladys Shaw of Aitch and Elmer R. of Bedford: 31 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and seven brothers and sisters, Samuel, Elmer and Mrs. Jennie Boyer of McKee, Harry of Newry, John of Duncansville, Mrs. Lillian Kunsman of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. Annie Burket of East Freedom. Friends will be received at the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
