OBIT from Sheboygan Press Feb. 26, 1952: "Miss Mae R. Winkel, 64, lifetime resident of the town of Port Washington, died unexpectedly Sunday morning of a heart attack at her home on Highway 141 at the north Port Washington city limits. Miss Winkel was born in the town of Port Washington on April 23, 1887, daughter of the late Peter and Sybilla [Altendorf] Winkel. She continued to operate the farm and at one time had a extensive poultry farm. Survivors are: one siter, Mrs. Peter (Regina) Biever, and one brother Nic. H. Winkel, both of Port Washington. Two Brothers, Phillip and Hilarius, preceded her in death. Hilarius died Feb 6 (1952)and was buried two weeks ago....Interment will be made at St. Marys Cemetery...."
