Irah George Kring, was born Dec.30, 1867, in Nappanee, Indiana. He was the tenth and last child born to George and Eyve (Joseph) Kring, of Nappanee.

As a young boy, Irah was introduced to the Lord, he and his family were members of the Church of The Brethren. Like his father and grandfather before him, Irah made his living by farming.

Out of the love of Irah and Amanda for one another, their marriage was blessed with seven children;

Elzona M. (1891-1949)
Orpha E. (1892-1960)

Bertha (1898-1949)
Ella G. (1902-1919)
Ida A. (1905-____)

On Oct, 3, 1931, on his farm, Irah died after a week of trying to fight off a bad infection. He was buried in Hepton Union Cemetery, Nappanee, Indiana.
