Homer William Kring was born May 17, 1858, in Nappanee, Indiana, the son of George and Eyva (Joseph) Kring, of Plymouth, Indiana.
Like his father and grandfather, Homer made his living as a farmer. Being a God fearing man, he was a member of The Church of The Brethren/Dunkard.
