Joseph T. Crutchfield, 88, Route 1, Moberly, died at 4:20 a.m. today at Community Memorial Hospital. He had been ill three months.
He was born Sept. 8, 1885, in Randolph County, the son of Staple and Emma Baker Crutchfield. He was a retired tavern owner.
Surviving are the wife, Harriet, of the home; step-daughter, Miss Mary V. Bybee, of the home; stepson, Charles of St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Gaines, Moberly; Mrs. Addie Beaver, Kansas City; and Mrs. Pearl Kirkendoll, Moberly; two brothers, Arthur and Clarence, both of Moberly; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Million-Greer and Comstock Chapel, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. The Rev. C. W. Cornn will officiate. Visitation will begin at 7 tonight.
