Sam Jones Crutchfield, 79, life-long resident of Moberly, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Community Hospital. He made his home at 1315 Henry Street.
Born near Moberly, the son of Stapleton and Sarah E (Emma) Baker Crutchfield, he is survived by three brothers, Arthur, Clarence and Joe Crutchfield, all of Moberly; one half-brother,Stapleton Crutchfield, also of Moberly; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Gaines, Moberly; Mrs. Addie Beaver, Kansas City, and Mrs. Laura Caldwell, Hannibal; one half-sister, Mrs. Pearlie Kirkendoll, Moberly, and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at Million, Greer and Comstock Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday
Sam was my Grandmother, Addie Crutchfield Beaver's, brother. Sam suffered brain damage at birth and was cared for by his family during his life.
