Allen (Scrutchfield) died this morning at 8 o'clock at the family residence 3 miles SW of the city, of consumption. He was a good moral and energetic young man until stricken with the dread disease, consumption, which ended his young life this morning.
Funeral will be at Hager Chapel and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

He was the son of Stapleton and Sarah(Emma) Baker. He was about 17 years old at the time of his death.
