Mrs Minta Hess, 62, of 512 Moulton, died in Community Memorial Hospital this morning. She had been a patient at the hospital two days.
Born May 19,1906, at Moberly, she was the daughter of Stape and Laura Crutchfield. She was a member of the Glad Tydings Church, Moberly. Mrs Hess' maiden name was "Crutchfield".
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs C J Kirkendoll, Tulsa, Okla., Mrs Richard Webb, Moberly; Mrs Patsey Myers,, Wabash, Ind.; Mrs Helen K Hendricks, Moberly; and Miss Kathy Hess of the home; four sons, James of Downey, Calif., Bobby, Roy and Donald all of Moberly.
Sister, Mrs Chester Kirkendoll, Moberly; brother, Stape Crutchfield, Moberly; four half-brothers, Arthur, Joe, Sam and Eddie Crutchfield, all of Moberly; three half-sisters, Mrs Mable Gaines, Moberly; Mrs Tom Beaver, Kansas City; and Mrs Clyde Caldwell, Hannibal; 22 grandchildren and five freat-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Jeff, Aug. 16, 1963; and son Jerry, Feb 6, 1965.
Burial in Hagar Cemetery.
