Albert Marshall of West Poplar Dies on Friday
Life long Resident of Community Is Laid To Rest
West Poplar - Albert J. Marshall, life long resident of this community, passed away Friday morning at his home, at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 29 days.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Christian Alliance Church in Nimrod with the Rev. Leon Eastman officiating and interment was in the Marshall Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Olson, Oscar Torgerson, Herbert Bimberg, J.A. Gaines, Ted Rice and Gaylord Olson.
Albert Jasper Marshall was born July 30, 1884, near Princeton, Minnesota. He came to this community when only three years old, and resided here since.
On Sept. 17, 1904 he was united in marriage to Louise Jensen, and to this union were born seven sons and one daughter. Besides Mrs. Marshall, he is survived by the following children: Marvin, Elwynn, George and Vernon of St. Paul, Alfred of Sebeka, Victor of Wadena, Mrs, Robert Johnson (Helen) of Braham and Calvin at home. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren; one brother, Milo Marshall of near Nimrod; three sisters, Mrs. Josie Wood of Hackensack, Mrs. Hattie Johnes of South Bend, Oregon, and Mrs. Steve Feit of St. Maries, Idaho.

Married, September 17, by Rev. John Turnbull at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Jensen, Miss Louisa Jensen and Albert J. Marshall, both of Lyons.
