SAM MARSHALL DIES AT HOME IN BEMIDJI
EAST ORTON - Funeral services for Sam Marshall, 73, a former resident of this community who died Tuesday in Bemidji, were held at the home of his brother, Milo Marshall Friday afternoon.
Mr. Marshall, who was born at Richland Center, Wis., Aug. 6, 1865, came to this community 50 years ago and took a homestead. Later he moved to Bemidji.
He is survived by four children, Mrs. Hazel Campbell of Bismarck, N.D., Mrs. Warren Woodbridge of Little Falls, Earl of Alaska, and Thurlo of Lake Park. Bert Marshall of this community is also a brother.
Interment was in the cemetery south of the Milo Marshall home.
