Beatrice Casolare Coir, 90, formerly of Florida Road, Mattydale, passed away Tuesday, April 19, at Van Duyn. She retired in 1980 from Gillette Road Middle School after 14 years of service. She was a member of Centerville Chapter No. 185, Order of the Eastern Star, and of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mattydale. Mrs. Coir was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Ronald W. Coir, on December 7, 2007, and by a granddaughter, Shelley Coir, on May 11, 1999. Surviving are her sons, Ronald J. (Carol), Richard and Raymond Coir; her daughter, Sharon (Tim) Tinsley; brother, Charles Casolare; four grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fergerson Funeral Home, with burial following in Maplewood Cemetery, Berwyn. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse, with Eastern Star services at 7 p.m. Donations may be made to the of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204-1361.
