Mr. Levy Durrett, son of the late Mr. Willis Durrett and Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Bennett Durrett, was born September 12, 1903, in Green County and departed this life at 7 a.m. Sunday, August 13, 1972 in the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was member of the Oak Forrest Cumberland Presbyterian Church at the time of his death.
He united in marriage to Mrs. Daisy Bush, October 18, 1948 who survives. To this union was born one son, Billy Durrett of Summersville.
Mr. Durrett is also survived by four daughters: Mrs. Odell Rawlins, Mrs. Marie Garrett and Mrs. Allen Tharp, all of Louisville; Mrs. Lucille Davis, Sherman, Texas; two other sons: Ivo Durrett of Louisville and L. D. Durrett of Magnolia; one brother O. T. Durrett of Summersville; and 13 grandchildren.
The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 1972 with burial in the Wilson Cemetery. Revs. A. J. Terry and Shiley Beard officiated.
Pallbearers: Calvin, Buford, Hyman, and Earl Durrett and Arlene and Alvin Estes.
