Mrs. Mary Estes Dies At Age of 63
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m Tuesday for Mrs. Mary Durrett Estes, daughter of Willis and Bet Durrett, who died February 6, 1950 at the age of 63, Services were held at the Brush Creek Baptist church and burial was in the Perkins cemetery. Rev. Noble Cotterill conducted the services. Mrs. Estes was born May 2, 1887 and in 1903 she married Roscoe Estes. To this union 8 children were born. Two preceded her in death. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Brush Creek Baptist church. Surviving besides her husband are six children, Mrs. Mallie McCubbins, Mrs. Carrie Ash, Mrs. Hallie Beams, Lea W. Estes, Arline Estes and Alvin Estes, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray McCubbin, Eugene Shelton, Leonard Milby, Winfred Berry, William McCubbins. and Hallis Ash.
