Services Saturday for Waynoka Man
Services for Roy Valentine Bixler, 56-year-old Waynoka man who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Methodist church in Waynoka. Bixler's death followed an extended illness. He was a metal dealer.
Bixler, a member of the Assembly of God church, was born in Waynoka Aug. 26, 1902. He was married Sept. 17, 1923, to Gertie Boland. The Rev. James Williams and the Rev. John Beck will officiate at the rites, and burial will be in the Waynoka Cemetery under the direction of the Marshall-Mason funeral home.
Bixler is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, LeRoy of Waynoka, Leon of Oklahoma City, Virgil of Kansas City, Kan., Albert of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Fox of Waynoka, Lois and Carolyn of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Browning, Mrs. Melvin Coulter, Mrs. John Icke, all of Waynoka, Mrs. Karl Hempel of Pulyallup, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
