Mrs. Karl C. (Dorthea F.) Hempel, 65, of 112 55th Ave. N.W., Puyallup, died Tuesday in Mesa, Ariz., on a vacation trip. She was born in Waynoka, Okla., and lived in Puyallup since 1947. Mrs. Hempel was a member of the Goodwill Auxiliary of Tacoma and the Washington State Doll Club of the national and international organization.
Survivors, besides her husband, include a son, Eugene C., who is the fire chief in Puyallup; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Browning, Mrs. John Icke, and Mrs. Melvin Coulter, all of Waynoka; and one grandchild. Services will be announced by Powers Wrigley Clements Funeral Home, Puyallup.
