George Alton Douglas Jr., age 74, a native of West Virginia and a longtime resident of Grand Bay, AL passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011. He was a retired Oil Boat Captain. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Sylvia Branch Douglas, 2 daughters Lorie Reece and Dorothy Douglas, siblings Ester McAllister, Carolyn Jones, Ellen Coleman, Ralph Douglas, Wayne Douglas, Bobby Douglas, numerous step children, grand children, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10 am. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
