VIRGINIA LEE SHINN, age 73 of Smyrna died Monday February 2, 2009. She was a native of Charleston, West Virginia, and the daughter of the late, George and Madgel Fisher Douglas.
Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Dr. Ross Maroney.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd Shinn, Jr. sons; David (Sherry) Shinn of Smyrna, Gregory (Renee) Shinn of Smyrna; grandchildren, Mark Shelton, Chris, Kevin, Michael and Ashley Shinn; brothers, George Douglas, Jr. of Alabama, Wayne Douglas of Georgia, William Douglas, Ralph Douglas, Robert Douglas, all of West Virginia; sisters, Esther McCallister, Carolyn Jones both of West Virginia, and Ellen Coleman of Ohio.
Mrs. Shinn was a member of Stones River Baptist Church and a devoted Volunteer worker at Stewartsboro Elementary and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Shinn to Stones River Baptist Church.
