Wayne was retired from the US Army and after retirement was a security guard for the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister and two brothers.
Wayne is survived by his daughter and son of Seneca, S.C.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Esther, Carolyn, and Ellen; and two brothers, Ralph and Bobby; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Noon Tuesday, June 10 at Cooke Funeral Home in Nitro with Pastor Harold Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery at Dunbar. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
